Parents Right To Know (Highly Qualified Staff)
August 19, 2013

Re: Highly Qualified Faculty and Staff
What a great beginning of school we have had! I would like to personally thank you for your involvement in helping our faculty, staff, and students have a smooth beginning of the school year! We ask that you continue to stay involved with your child(ren) as we help to prepare them to be life-long learners.
The Title I Parent Involvement Policy, printed in the Scott County School District Student Handbook, contains a general statement regarding parents' rights to know the professional status of the instructional staff at Lake Elementary School.
The "No Child Left Behind Act" mandates that all teachers are to be highly qualified. I am happy to inform you that this year all certified teachers at Lake Elementary School have met state qualifications and licensing criteria for the subject areas in which that teacher provides instruction. All paraprofessionals (assistants) working with your child have also met the requirements of the "No Child Left Behind Act".
If you have any questions, please call the elementary school office at 601-775-3011. We have high expectations for your child to obtain high academic achievement. With your continued help and involvement, your child will be able to reach these goals that are set for him/her.
Sincerely,
Lisa Seale
Lake Elementary School Principal
