About the Teacher

Mrs. Geter has been in the field of education for 18 years.  Starting in school-based mental health services, Mrs. Geter eventually transitioned to receiving her alternate route licensure in Special Education.  She has taught grades K - 8th and currently teaches 3rd and 4th grade Special Education at Lake Elementary School.  
 
Mrs. Geter received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Harding University in Searcy, AR.  She completed her Master's Degree in Special Education in 2016 from the University of Southern Mississippi.  
 
Mrs. Geter is married to Tom and has two sons, Will (Junior) and Hank (4th Grade), both of whom are students at Lake Schools.  Mrs. Geter attends church at Forest church of Christ.  When not at school, she enjoys anything related to the beach, water, and boats.  She also likes to read.  Her favorite thing to do is spend time with her family.
